YOREL'S BROTHER AN INTERNET SENSATION

Cleveland Browns. Family Zone. That's the setting. Take a look at the video on this Cleveland Browns website: http://www.clevelandbrowns.com/tickets/familyzone/  The very last image in the clip is none other than Your Yorel's brother, and all in a row, his sons (in no particular order) Joe, Jake, Jared, Jordan and Justin. The brother is the one on the left with the moustache. The sons are all  standing to his left (your right), except the last one. Looks like Joe.

What a hoot. Yorel knew some of the boys were big Browns fans, but didn't know the extent of the family-fandom. What can be learned on the internet! That is, besides family Facebook feuds. But that another story, on the MrsYorel side of things.

Turns out that one of the daughters-in-law recently worked for Applebees. Hmmm. Think that's the connection?

FRIENDS OF THE CRECHE

Your Yorel and the Mrs headed out this morning to see the Friends of the Creche http://www.friendsofthecreche.org/ exhibit at the Salt Lake City Radisson. Eh. It was the day open for the public. Otherwise it was $60. Sixty is a lot of bling, so Your Yorel expected this to be a pretty cool outing. But it wasn't. Better nativity collections have been seen in Ohio stake centers.

But the sincere, fanatical followers were in force.

One room hosted about one quarter of one man's serious collection created by Polish artisans. Your Yorel like the one's depicting Joseph, the carpenter, apprenticing Jesus.

And this one, just of Joseph, alone. Overall, barely worth the gas money to Salt Lake City.

OQUIRRH MOUNTAIN TEMPLE

Your Yorel went here yesterday. It was a good day.

This is one of the newest temples. It was dedicated last August. Oquirrh is pronounced "oak-er." It is located in South Jordan, Utah.
This city has the distinction of being the first ever to be the home of two temples. South Jordan is also the home of the Jordan River Temple.

Heard this? Researchers discovered that babies cry with the same "prosody" or melody used in their native language by the second day of life. They did this by recording the cries of 60 babies born to French or German parents.

French newborns in the study ended their cries with a lilt at the end typically heard in French. German babies, however, started their cries intensely and dropped off at the end -- much like the emphasis their German parents put in a sentence. Hey, how are you doing today? Here's a shot Your Yorel took on the way to the bus yesterday. That's the Wasatch Mountains out there that the sun is beginning to break on. Weird cloud formations that day.

OMG MOMENT. Your Yorel doesn't normally watch the news on TV, but it's on right now. A story about how Wall St. is getting H1N1 vaccines before others? Oh, pleeeze. And the local news showed a mother in line to get the shot saying she "doesn't want to die." What a whack-out scare.
